Victory When Overwhelmed
MIGHT BE A HARD REALITY, BUT, IT’S ALL PART OF THE HUMAN JOURNEY
“On that day, when evening came, He said to them, ‘Let us go over to the other side.’”
(Mark 4:35 NASB)
“And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.”
(Mark 4:37 NASB).
1. DON’T LET THE OUTSIDE STORMS, BECOME INSIDE STORMS
2. DON’T SETTLE IN “POWERLESSNESS”
“Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, ‘Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
(Mark 4:38 NASB)
THIS IS JUST A TEST
“And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Hush, be still.’ And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.”
(Mark 4:39 NASB)
STAND IN AUTHORITY OVER SPIRITUAL STORMS
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
(I John 4:4 NKJ)
3. DON’T MAKE A COMMOTION, TAKE COMMUNION
“Having said this, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of all, and he broke it and began to eat. (36) All of them were encouraged and they themselves also took food.”
(Acts 27:35- 36 NASB)
“I have told you all that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33 NLT)
