Making Good Deposits

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good

works, which God prepared in advance for us to do

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power.

He went around doing good and healing all who were under the

power of the devil, because God was with Him. Acts 10:38 (NIV)

1. PRAY AND ASK GOD DAILY TO GIVE YOU OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE DEPOSITS INTO PEOPLE!

2. BE AN AGENT OF REDEMPTION

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know

what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in

secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will

reward you. Matthew 6:3-4 (NIV)

 COMPASSION IN ACTION: OPEN YOUR EYES TO THOSE

IN NEED AND FILL IT

If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or

sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in

that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each

other; let us show the truth by our actions. 1 John 3:17-18 (NLT)

 ELEVATOR PRINCIPLE: ADD VALUE TO PEOPLE, AS

THEY ARE VALUABLE TO GOD

Do all the good you can, to all the people you can, in all the ways

you can, as long as ever you can!

3. GOD WILL RETURN WHAT YOU DEPOSIT

A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, and the

deeds of a man’s hands will return to him.

Proverbs 12:14

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time

we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore,

whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to

everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.
