Graduating to Humility

1. CHOOSE HUMILITY, OVER STUPIDITY

“…and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another,

for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.”

(I Peter 5:5 NASB)

2. CHOOSE TO HUMBLE YOURSELF

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross!”

(Philippians 2:8 NKJ)

3. DON’T LET SUCCESS DERAIL YOU

“…being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God…but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant…therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place.”

(Philippians 2:6-7,9 NIV)

PRIDE COMES BEFORE THE FALL

“Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.”

(Proverbs 18:12 NIV)

4. GIVE CREDIT AWAY

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each one of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.”

(Philippians 2:3-5 NIV).

“Exalt the Lord our God…”

(Psalm 99:9 NASB)

“The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor and life.”

(Proverbs 22:4 NASB)
